Horse Trekking in Ashridge Forest
You will arrive at Berkhamsted station where we will pick you up (30 minutes from Euston London). (10 minutes drive to the stables, you can drive straight to the stables in Little Gaddesden if you want to get there by car).
You will be given hard hats and back guards upon arrival at the stables and will meet the horses. We will have already calculated your level of ability so that the horses are selected by hand. Once you get to know your horse, you're going to get on board and spend half an hour in school getting a feeling for your horse and brushing up on the basics.Then we'll hack out through our private woods and into the magnificent Ashridge Property. The 5000 acre property is a magnificent wooded landscape, home to large deer and wildlife herds. We are going to ride along bridle tracks around the hunting lodge of King Henry 8th and Elizabeth 1st.
The speed of this 2-hour trail ride is dictated by the riders ' experience levels.
You will be taken back to the station or nearby Berkhamsted station after the journey, where you can look around the beautiful market town or get a train home.

A1 taxis allowed will drive you to the stables and pick you up from The Alford Arms
